Meditation is a process of learning to work with your mind so that you no longer have to be controlled by it.
We're all very used to running around without taking any time to be still and silent long enough to acquire some peace of mind.
There is nothing particularly religious about meditation. You don't have to believe in anything or subscribe to any set of doctrines, dogma, or beliefs. It is something that anyone can do, anywhere, any time, regardless of your spiritual beliefs or religious affiliation.
Meditation simply involves learning how to work with your mind so that you no longer have to be at it's mercy all the time. It's like learning to tame a wild horse so instead of being tossed around by it you can pull the reins in and tell it where you want it to go (if anywhere at all).
Scientific research continues to demonstrate the efficacy of stress reduction techniques such as mindfulness meditation and simple breathing exercises. I utilize these methods in a secular and accessible manner that helps people get back in touch with their inherent clarity, sanity, and wisdom.
